St. Paul’s Convent School Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) recruits parent volunteers and team leaders to support the School and PTA activities every year. This year we are pleased to have 9 team leaders joining our briefing session held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at room G7.
Mrs. May Hau, Chairlady of PTA, Ms. Jennifer Lam, Vice-Chairlady of PTA, and representatives from our Executive Committee (“ExCo”) team welcomed all team leaders and thanked them for their commitment and assistance to PTA. Each team leader gave a brief self-introduction and shared their experiences and thoughts on how they can contribute to PTA.
Ms. Jennifer Lam briefed the team leaders on the aims and functions of the Parent Volunteers Programme, in particular their roles and responsibilities. Mrs. May Hau shared the events and activities conducted by PTA in recent years, including the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival, SPCS PTA Community Service Programme , Green Campaign, Community Chest Dress Casual Day and local tours with teachers from Mainland China. Last but not least, Ms. Maria Hui promoted and encouraged team leaders to advocate members to participate in working for the Rooftop Garden of the school, followed by a tour.
PTA values collaboration, communication and cooperation from all our PTA members. During the meeting, team leaders participated actively to brainstorm, share and suggest ideas to identify options in planning future PTA events and activities.
Support from team leaders and parent volunteers are vital to the success of the school and PTA activities. PTA sees the partnership with parents as the key to PTA and our students’ success. Let’s all be grateful and stay positive to embrace another successful year ahead!
