The 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of St. Paul’s Convent School Parent-Teacher Association (SPCS PTA) was held on October 20, 2018 at the school hall. We were grateful that in addition to our PTA ExCo members, Ms Lorna Wong, our past Chairlady, also kindly graced us with her presence in the meeting.
The meeting was commenced by a welcome speech by our Masters of Ceremony Mr Rudy Man and Ms Vanessa Chan. Our Chairman, Dr Iceman Leung, had presented the Chairman’s Report and made a presentation to summarize the activities organized by the PTA during the past year. Iceman has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the PTA Advisor, Principal Rev. Sr. Margaret, 2017/2018 PTA ExCo Members, Co-opt Members, Honorary Legal Advisor, Auditor, Teachers, PTA members, and parent volunteers for their invaluable advice, support and contributions offered to the PTA last year. In the AGM, members also voted and agreed by majority to the proposed amendment to the PTA Constitution.
The organization structure of PTA and the 2018/2019 Executive Committee team were presented. The new Chairman, Mr Timothy Ngan, made a note of thanks to the Past Chairman, all members and the school for their dedicated efforts and contributions.
In acknowledgement of the contribution and commitment made by the Parent-Teacher Association in the past year, Principal Rev. Sr. Margaret also presented the Appreciation Certificates to our 2017/2018 Ex-officio, ExCo and Co-Opt members. To mark the occasion, a group photo was taken on the stage.
Another highlight of the day was an inspiring talk presented by our Honorary Guest, Mr Sean Lin, on “Tips on how to negotiate with our children” (現代家長的角色與子女相處之談判技巧).
