Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) recruits parent volunteers every year to support the School and/or PTA activities held for the academic year. This year we are pleased to have about 87 parents attended the Briefing Session for Parent Volunteers held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Classroom G07 of the School.
Iceman Leung, Chairman of the PTA welcomed the parent volunteers and thanked their commitment and assistance to the activities of the PTA. He introduced the members of the new Executive Committee (“ExCo”) for the year 2017/2018 and also summarized the activities conducted by the PTA last year.
Dora Cheng and May Hau, the Exco member of PTA briefed the parent volunteers on the aims and functions of the Parent Volunteers Programme (PVP) as well as the roles and duties of Parent Volunteers and particularly, in the participation in the Speech Festival. Moreover, our PTA members Amy Tai, Freddie Tang and Josephine Chan were invited to share their valuable experience with the Parent Volunteers. There was also a tour, organized to our Parent Volunteers, to visit our Rooftop Garden of our school. Gardening with vegetables adds a new dimension of enjoyment to life and brings an awareness of wonderful nature at the school rooftop.
The support of Parent Volunteers is vital to the success of the School and PTA activities including the upcoming seminars talks and community service programme. With their support and help, we look forward to having another successful year for the PVP.
