The “Joint Green Campaign and Help the Needy Project” co-organized by the School and PTA for the 3rd year was successfully held on Saturday, 23 January 2010. Thanks to the generosity and kindness of 142 parents, a total of 101 boxes and bags of recycled items including story books, toys, clothes, computers, watches, camera, electrical appliances, TV set, microwave, refrigerator, etc. that are in excellent conditions were graciously collected.
Out of which, 4 big boxes of English story books at Primary School level will be used for building a library for a school community in a Mainland China field trip to be organized for the junior form students. The remaining of the donated items have been donated to the Caritas Rehabilitation Service in Hong Kong to make the dreams of many local underprivileged children come true, and to help the local underprivileged families through the Caritas Wai Bo Fong Second Hand Recycling Store operation.
We believe that this project is able to serve the dual purpose of instilling environmental consciousness in our daughters and helping the underprivileged children and families.
Lastly, the PTA earnestly extends our heartfelt thanks to the Parents, School and Parent Volunteers for the tremendous support in making this meaningful event another success.
